Frumvarpið er mikil réttarbót fyrir trans og intersex fólk, en einnig fleira hinsegin fólks svo sem kynsegin fólk.
Samtökin ’78 fagna frumvarpinu en á sama tíma gagnrýna það að í það vantar mikilvægan kafla um intersex börn. Samtökin munu halda áfram að vakta málið, senda inn umsagnir til þingsins og fræða fólk um innihald frumvarpsins.
