Queer education in Hafnarfjordur

Samtökin ´78 are currently discussing the option of queer education in all of the Hafnarfjörður’s compulsory schools. A draft of the contract states that all staff members at the town’s seven compulsory schools will get a comprehensive education on queer matters such as sexual orientation, gender identity and intersex issues. All 8^th graders will also get a visit from our youth educators, who are young people themselves and thus important role models.
